Do I have to come to Romania to set up the company?

What is the difference between a registered office in a law firm and a fixed location?

According to Law 51/1995 on the organization and practice of the legal profession, the registered office of a company may be established in a lawyer's office for a maximum period of 12 months. Thus, it has a temporary character, at the end of the 12 months the registered office will have to be moved to another location. In contrast to the above, the registered office established at a fixed location may be established for a period longer than 12 months or may be extended at the same address at the expiry of the lease.

I am not registered for tax purposes in Romania, can I set up a company?

Yes, any individual can set up an LLC in Romania. We will only need your identity card.

What's next after setting up?

According to the regulations in force, once the company has been established, it must comply with the legal obligations concerning: obtaining the Single Control Register (within 30 days of establishment), the Tax Register (for companies paying corporate income tax), issuing the decision to number invoices.
